In this painting, I wanted to capture a quiet state somewhere between presence and dreaming. The figure is very physical and immediate, but his gaze seems to be directed somewhere beyond the visible world.

I built the painting around the contrast between the warmth of the body and the constantly shifting colors of the landscape. Greens, blues, oranges, pinks and violets move between the figure and the space around him, so that the body and the landscape gradually begin to belong to the same emotional world.

The title Autumn Dreams came from the feeling of a transitional moment — something still warm, vivid and full of life, but already carrying a sense of change. For me, the painting is about that brief state when beauty feels especially intense because it cannot remain exactly as it is.
